Oscar Haynes
Throughout
his life, Mr.
Haynes has served the denomination in a number

the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has also

the many boards and commisions, including the Disciples Historical

limited to the clergy, Mr. Haynes also demonstrates by his Christian
life and sevice that the ability to get along well with everyone (even
those with whom one strongly disagreess) can go hand-in-hand with an
uncompromising commitment to racial, social, and
economic justice.
